Cloud engine
How Legacy Trade works
Legacy Trade is a cloud service that places orders on your own MetaTrader 5 (MT5) account according to the preset and settings you choose. There is nothing to install on your computer.
Runs in the cloud, not on your PC
The trading engine runs on our cloud servers and connects to your broker's MT5 server. You don't need to install an Expert Advisor (EA), keep MetaTrader open or rent a VPS.
Because nothing runs on your device, trading continues when your PC or phone is off or the app is closed.
Getting started
- Sign up with your email and confirm the verification email. An administrator approves new sign-ups before you can log in.
- Link your MT5 account: enter the login and trading password from your broker, pick the server your broker gave you from the app's server list, and choose live or demo. The link goes live after an administrator approves it; how long that takes depends on when it is reviewed.
- Set up a bot: pick a symbol, a direction (buy or sell), a preset and a starting lot size. The app suggests a starting lot based on your balance.
- Turn the bot on. The engine watches the market and your positions and places, adjusts and closes orders on your MT5 account according to the preset.
You stay in control
- Turning a bot off stops new entries. Positions it already holds are still managed by the preset's take-profit and stop-loss rules (presets without a stop-loss run until take-profit or a broker stop-out).
- While the market is open, you can close one position or all positions at market price from the app. Depending on your settings, closing even one position can stop that symbol's bot, and closing all stops automated trading on that account.
- Optional protections can skip new entries right after the market opens, around major economic news and right after the weekly open, and can close positions before the weekend.
- Orders go to your own MT5 account, so they also appear in your broker's MT5 platform like any other trade.
Your money stays with your broker
Legacy Trade does not hold your funds and does not withdraw them. Your money stays in your account at your broker; the service only places orders on that account.
Start on a demo account
Demo accounts use virtual money. We recommend trying the same screens and bots on a demo account first, then moving to a live account when you're ready.
